SYDNEY - The Australian economy created fewer jobs than expected in September, which could ease pressure on Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) to increase interest rates next month.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, data released on Thursday shows that the number of people employed has increased by 6,700 since August. This is compared to market expectations of 20,000 new jobs.
