CSR strategy: Lessons learned from Civic 50 Colorado winners
In this content hub, we learned what it takes to be great nonprofit partners, how companies can remain nimble with their CSR priorities in a crisis, and how all of those activities can have a ripple effect for people across the state.

What does it mean to be a good corporate citizen?
Before we started our Good Works Colorado content hub, I thought I had a pretty good idea of what it took to be a good corporate citizen. Now, 50 company features later, that understanding has grown. I'm proud to have had the opportunity to learn more from companies of all sectors, sizes and geographic footprints about how they're innovating new approaches to corporate social responsibility (CSR). From the good work of the team at Mayfly Outdoors to my own colleagues at Delta Dental of Colorado, I can confidently say Colorado is home to some great corporate citizens.
One size does not fit all when it comes to CSR, but, over the years, clear trends have emerged that demonstrate what it takes for a company's CSR strategy to be impactful and meaningful. My gratitude goes out to all the 2022 Civic 50 Colorado honorees who took the time to apply and work with us on these articles.
In this content hub, we learned what it takes to be great nonprofit partners, how companies can remain nimble with their CSR priorities in a crisis, and how all of those activities can have a ripple effect for people across the state. Partnerships between businesses, nonprofits and more have the real ability to impact change across a city and community.
As we look ahead to a new year and celebrate an impressive new cohort of Civic 50 honorees, I encourage you all to take the time to look at your own CSR strategy. This is a great time to gather input from employees on what's working and reevaluate the things that aren't serving your teams or communities anymore. As we wrap up our time here with Good Works Colorado, I encourage you to continue taking the time to give back to the communities where you work, live and learn.
And, most importantly, keep up the good work.
Good Works Colorado is brought to you by Delta Dental of Colorado, a nonprofit dental insurance company dedicated to making Colorado better through Mile High Smile LINK — the investments we make to deliver on our mission of improving the oral health of the communities we serve.
