President Xi Jinping called for immediate rescue efforts after a highway bridge collapse in Shaanxi province, China. The incident occurred in Shangluo city, when a flash flood caused the bridge to collapse. Several vehicles fell into the river as a result. Currently, 30 people are missing, while five vehicles have been confirmed to be in the water. President Xi emphasized the importance of flood control measures and urged local governments to strengthen monitoring and early warning systems. The national fire and rescue authority has deployed a team, consisting of personnel, vehicles, boats, and drones, to assist in the rescue operation.
