ARLINGTON, Texas — Two veteran baseball managers, Bob Melvin and Bruce Bochy, faced off against each other once again. Melvin managed the Oakland A’s while Bochy managed the San Francisco Giants. They have played against each other in 146 regular-season games over the years, with a nearly equal overall record. This time, Melvin managed against Bochy while wearing a Giants uniform. The Giants claimed a 5-2 victory against the Rangers, thanks to strong pitching from Logan Webb and home runs from Wilmer Flores and Michael Conforto. It was a satisfying win for both managers.
