Stowaway Incident on Delta Flight 264 #

A stowaway avoided identity and boarding pass checks, successfully boarding a flight from New York to Paris. During the flight, a Delta Air Lines pilot announced the discovery of this extra passenger. It was revealed that the individual passed through security screening and bypassed two identity verification stations.

The flight, known as Flight 264, left Kennedy International Airport and landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport. Upon arrival, passengers were informed that police needed to board the aircraft due to the presence of the unauthorized passenger. The captain communicated, “We’re just waiting for the police to come on board. They’ve directed us to keep everyone on the airplane until we sort out an extra passenger that’s on the plane.”

Passengers noticed an unusual amount of activity over the attendants’ intercom as the aircraft descended into Paris. Upon reaching the gate, the seatbelt signs stayed on longer than usual, and the crew announced the need to wait. Six or seven police officers eventually boarded the plane, and it was speculated that a woman, seen moving between lavatories without seating, was the individual in question.

The plane remained at the gate for about 40 minutes, delaying passengers with connecting flights. Once the situation was resolved, word spread among the passengers, “She’s off.”

Tuesday marked the beginning of what was predicted as the busiest Thanksgiving travel week. The TSA anticipated screening 18.3 million travelers across the week, a 6 percent rise from the previous year.
